On July 30, Wang Shouwen, Vice Minister of Commerce and deputy representative of international trade negotiations, held an online forum with representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce of China and its member enterprises to have in-depth communication on Sino US economic and trade relations, optimization of China’s business environment and other economic and trade issues of mutual concern. Ge Guorui, chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in China, Bi Allen, as well as representatives of more than 20 American enterprises, including Amway, Mars, general motors, Intel, Starbucks, and cordix, attended the meeting.

Wang Shouwen said that in July 21st, President Xi Jinping emphasized at the entrepreneur forum that we should do everything possible to protect the market players and stimulate the vitality of the market players. The forum implemented the spirit of President Xi Jinping’s important speech with practical actions, and strengthened communication with us funded enterprises to create favorable conditions for resuming work and resuming production.

Wang Shouwen said that the current Sino US relations are facing a complex and severe situation. It is hoped that the art industry and business community will continue to play a good role as a bridge for exchanges between the two countries, expand practical cooperation, and make economic and trade relations continue to become the "stabilizer" of bilateral relations, which is in line with the interests of China and the United States and other countries in the world.
